What Am I?

Here is a very simple game that you can play with a group of campers. Thanks to Danielle Y. for submitting this idea.

STEP 1

Grab a bag and label it “What Am I?” This can be a brown paper bag, a backpack, or anything else that can hide an item.

STEP 2

Put an object in the bag. Don’t let the kids see what it is.

The object can be ANYTHING that fits in the bag…a tin of Play-Doh, a rubber duck, a bouncy ball, a feather boa, a small stuffed animal…a piece of fruit, ANYTHING that the kids might want to win!

STEP 3

The game begins. Simply allow the kids to ask yes or no questions one at a time…Is it round? Is it soft? Is it a food? etc.

You can have the kids perform a simple movement to earn the right to ask the yes or no question. For example…If you have a group of 30 children and you have limited space you tell them to jump up and down three times and then they can ask a question. After each question is asked the kids jump up and down three more times. If they do not do the movement, they do not get to ask a question.

Alternatively, you can ask trivia questions for the right to ask a question, or just pick names out of a box.

STEP 4

The child who guesses what is in the bag gets to keep that item.

Fun, easy and entertaining!!!
