Join Captain Curt and First-mate Chris on this swashbuckling podcast in search of treasure! The guys give out some arrrrrguably great ideas to help make your camp a cannon blast! Ignore these great ideas and you might be forced to walk the plank.
Ideas, tips, and tricks:
- Make sure you know the difference between them (or Curt will come after you!)
- Treasure Hunts are where you hunt for and solve clues, maybe using a map (Hunters)
- Scavenger Hunts are where you are gathering items or experiences (Gatherers)
- Hide a figure (a Golden Smurf, for example) somewhere around camp
- Chris has campers find weird things along the way of the compass course
- Paint chip scavenger hunt (campers find something that matches the colors on their paint chip)
- Alphabet hunt (campers have to bring back something that starts with every letter of the alphabet
- Scavenger cards (staff create picture cards ahead of time of stuff that can be found at camp: trees, flowers, birds, signs, etc.)
- Creating and Running Scavenger and Treasure Hunts book
